The latest design initiative focuses on creating an inclusive voice-controlled shopping experience specifically tailored for visually impaired users. This project aims to empower blind users to shop independently using voice commands, making the shopping process as smooth and intuitive as possible.

KEY FINDINGS

  1. Many blind users rely on screen readers but often find the navigation process cumbersome.

  2. Users expressed a desire for a hands-free shopping experience where they could perform tasks such as searching for products, adding items to the cart, and checking out using only their voice.

  3. Clear and concise feedback from the system was crucial to maintaining user confidence and reducing frustration.

OBJECTIVES

  1. Accessibility: Ensure that visually impaired users can navigate the store, select products, and complete purchases without visual assistance.

  2. Usability: Create an intuitive voice interface that is easy to use for both tech-savvy and non-tech-savvy individuals.

  3. Efficiency: Minimize the time required to complete a purchase through voice commands.

Navigation Page

it allows users to navigate through different product categories by voice. For example, a user could say, "Take me to electronics," and the system would respond by listing subcategories or popular items in that section and provides a way to search for specific products by voice command. The user could say, "Search for sofa," and be directed to the relevant items.
